Trolley numbers remain high in north west



The number of people waiting for hospital beds in the north west remains high again today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Trolley Watch.

Sligo University Hospital has seen a reduction in the numbers on trolleys down to eight in the emergency department today.

University Hospital Letterkenny however has seen a sharp rise from 8 yesterday up to 27 today with 10 of those on trolleys in the emergency department.

Cork University Hospital is the worst effected in the country with 44 people waiting for a bed while there are 22 waiting in Mayo University Hospital and 20 in Galway according to the INMO.
