Numbers on trolleys in Sligo hospital rise again



Over 450 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

The numbers at Sligo University Hospital have increased again with 25 people on trolleys at the hospital today.

The numbers in Letterkenny are down to 8, according to the figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Beaumont hospital, Dublin is the most overcrowded with 42 people in need of a bed – according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Cork University Hospital is next with 33 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
