High numbers remain on trolleys



There are 25 people waiting for a bed in University Hospital Letterkenny once again today.

It’s the second consecutive day with 25 people in the emergency department at the hospital.

11 of those are waiting on trolleys with 14 in the overflow area of wards according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation trolley watch report.

Overall there are 30 people waiting for a bed with five in Sligo University Hospital.

South Tipperary General Hospital is the most overcrowded in the country today according to the INMO.

42 patients are on trolleys in the facility’s emergency department and overflow area of wards,

In all there are 485 patients waiting nationally.
