Brexit: IFA President fears UK too complacent on its impacts



The President of the IFA says he fears the UK is being too optimistic about the implications of Brexit.

Speaking to Ocean FM at an IFA event in Enniscrone last night, Joe Healy said that he knows EU members states such as France are in favour of a ‘hard Brexit’.

A hard Brexit would see the UK completely exit the single market and have full control over its own borders.

Mr. Healy has met numerous EU ambassadors at the Farm Centre in Dublin who are adamant that a hard Brexit is the only option to prevent other EU member states following suit.
