27 people waiting for hospital beds in northwest



There are 27 people waiting for a bed in the northwest this lunchtime according to trolley watch reports.

Sligo University Hospital has two people waiting, one on a trolley and another in the overflow area of wards.

Meanwhile Letterkenny University Hospital has 25 people awaiting a bed with 16 of those on a trolley in the emergency department.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation figures show there are 451 people waiting for a bed across the country.

South Tipperary General Hospital is the worst affected with 39 people waiting for a bed.
