Projects in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim benefit from CLAR funding



A total of about one and three-quarter million euro has been awarded to counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal in CLAR funding.

Donegal will get a total of €879,000; Sligo €599,000 and Leitrim €275,000.

Much of the money is going to road safety measures such as signage and lights near schools.

The individual amounts given to projects in each county range from €3,000 to €25,000.

Clar funding is for small infrastructural projects in rural areas that have been hit by depopulation.

West Sligo benefitted with more than 15 projects receiving amounts ranging from €1,000 to €14,000.
