The Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council is urging communities to nominate people for the Cathaoirleach Awards next month.
The awards take place on the 14th of December but nominations have to be submitted by this Wednesday, the 30th of December.
People can nominate someone from within their communities in eight different categories from sport to arts and culture and the environment.
There is a unique category called the ‘Spirit of Sligo’.
