22 people on hospital trolleys in north west



There are over 40 patients on trolleys in the north west today.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that the situation has deteriorated again at Letterkenny University Hospital where there are 31 people waiting for a bed today.

There are 12 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital.

The figures show nationally that there are almost 500 people on trolleys today.

Letterkenny has the worst figures of any hospital outside of the main cities of Dublin, Cork and Limerick and has higher figures than Galway where 18 people are waiting and the University Hospital there.
