Ireland’s longest surviving double lung transplant patient who is from Donegal has passed away. Brendan McLaughlin from Stranorlar, had a double lung transplant after nine weeks on a life-support machine. He was originally transplanted in Newcastle, England on the 11th of August, 1992.
