Sligo Rovers women suffered their first defeat of the new League of Ireland Premier Divsion on Saturday, going down 4-0 to Cork City at Turner's Cross. Cork led 2-0 at half-time - and doubled that advantage in the second half.

Sligo jockey Derek Fox a faller in Cheltenham Gold Cup
There was disappointment for Sligo jockey Derek Fox in Friday's signature race of the Cheltenham Festival - the Gold Cup. Fox, who was aboard the Lucinda Russell trained Ahoy Senor, led the early part of the race before coming down with seven fences remaining.
