
This three hour programme is an eclectic mix of music with the 1st hour devoted to classic hits from the 50’s to the current day. Each week there is a featured artist/songwriter spot outlining the career and popular hits of the featured subject.
The second hour is devoted to Country music from Ireland & the US and includes classic hits,the artists and their background, exclusive first airplay on new US releases and songs from the current US Billboard Country music charts. During this hour, listeners will also hear songs old and new from the Irish Country music scene.
The third hour is a mixture of musical genres pop, country and the new releases featuring Irish artists. Listeners are also encouraged to send in song requests and the programme also includes competitions for everything from CD’s to concert tickets and other valuable prizes!
About Paschal: Paschal Mooney is a Journalist/Broadcaster based in Drumshanbo Co. Leitrim. He started his Broadcasting career with RTE Radio as a Contributor to ‘Country Music Time’ a weekly programme presented by Noel Andrew, brother of Eamonn Andrews . In 1979 he was one of the Presenters on the first day of Radio 2 then new all music station and presented the Award winning ‘Keep it Country’ programme. He regularly visited Nashville and interviewed all the major Country stars of the last 30 years.
