Mairéad passed away peacefully in Killybegs Community Hospital in the excellent care of nurses and staff. Pre-deceased by her brother Fr. Pádraic McShane and her sister Mary Folan,  Mairéad will be sadly missed by her loving husband Francis, her sons Eunan & Rónan, daughters-in-law Peggy and Christine, her grandchildren Sinéad, Pauric, Christopher, Áine, Aishling, Aoife, Dermot and her great-granddaughter Kyrna, her nephews Fergus, Lorcan & Colm and wide circle of relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her Remains will be reposing at her family home from 4pm – 8pm on Thursday 16^th and Friday 17^th March.  The family home is private to family and relatives at all other times. Removal to St. Columba’s Church, Carrick on Saturday 18^th March, for Funeral Mass at 1pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
