The death has occurred of Brendan O’Connor

St. Gabriel’s, Maugheraboy Road, Sligo.

April 20th 2021, peacefully in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Sligo University Hospital, surrounded by his family. (Former plumber Sligo County Council)

Dearly loved husband of Bernadette and adored father of Charles and Neil.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, sons, daughter-in-law Bríd, grandchildren Brendan, Ronan and Thomas, brothers Austin (U.S.A.), Anthony (Australia) and Aidan (Sligo), sisters Pamela (Cornwall), Frances (Dublin) and Carmel (Dublin), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions Funeral Mass will be limited to 10 persons and family homes are private.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 12noon on Friday April 23rd  in The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo. Burial follows in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo. Funeral cortége will leave St. Gabriel’s, Maugheraboy Road, Sligo on Friday at 11:40am to arrive at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 11:50am.

Those who wish to leave a condolence message may do so below, in private at feehilys.ie or by traditional manner. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Kidney Association or The Irish Heart Foundation at feehilys.ie/pay . Funeral Mass will be live streamed via sligocathedral.ie.
