Over 50% reduction in Sligo housing units approved
Donegal and Sligo saw the largest percentage changes in dwellings units granted planning permission in 2024. Sligo saw a decrease of over 50% from 311 units approved in 2023 to 148 units this year, while Donegal saw an increase of over 40% from 642 to 998. The figures were published by the CSO,
Killybegs Harbour set for major funding boost
Killybegs Harbour in Donegal is set to receive a funding boost of €11.2 million. The money is being made available through the 2025 Fishery Harbour Centre and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme and its one of the highest allocations in the country.
