Two cars have been set alight in a suspected arson attack in Sligo.
The blaze broke out in the Emmet Place area of the town in the early hours of this morning.
Both Gardai and the fire service attended the scene and the fire was eventually brought under control and the area made safe.
The two vehicles have been extensively damaged while it’s understood that damage was also caused to nearby homes.
No injuries were reported.
Gardai have described the incident as criminal damage by fire and say that investigations are ongoing.
