Sligo LGFA has revealed its 2024 All-Star selections for the 2024 club championship season.
New Connacht Gold senior county champions Eoghan Rua, as expected, feature prominently in the senior/intermediate All-Star 15 with five awards.
The west Sligo club memorably won a first-ever senior championship title with victory over holders St Nathy’s in the county decider, which went to a replay.
Intermediate champions and Connacht finalists Drumcliffe/Rosses Point receive four awards.
The junior team is, predictably, dominated by Connacht junior club champions Coolera/Strandhill who collect six All-Stars.
The awards for both All-Star 15s will be presented to the players at Sligo LGFA’s Dinner Dance on Friday, February 7th, at the Clayton Hotel.
The night will also honour Sligo’s history-making All-Ireland minor football championship winning squad.
