A status yellow wind warning has been issued for counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
The warning is valid from 1pm on Thursday afternoon until 9pm.
According to Met Éireann, there will be strong and very gusty west to northwest winds.
This may result in falling branches, localised debris and difficulty travelling conditions.
