Donegal, the most seismically active county in Ireland is now offering locals a chance to monitor earthquakes in the area.
The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Geological Survey Ireland are hosting a workshop on the 14th of November at the Station House Hotel Letterkenny from 7.30-8.30pm.
As part of science week 2024 this free event will introduce participants to Earthquake science and monitoring, with 20 lucky attendees in with the chance to win a seismometer to host in their own homes. DIAS is urging people to register for the workshop on Eventbright as places are limited.
