There was disappointment for Donegal senior football champions St Eunan’s on Saturday night in Omagh as they were edged out by Errigal Chiaráin of Tyrone by 0-12 to 0-10 in their Ulster club senior football championship prelim round encounter.
Eunan’s led by 0-10 to 0-9 as the game ticked towards added time – but two fine points by Ben McDonnell helped the Tyrone side get the win.
Shane O’Donnell (St Eunan’s) was given the RTÉ Man of the Match award on the night, scoring four points in an excellent personal display.
Errigal Chiaráin now play Antrim champions Cargin in the quarter-finals next Sunday.
