Leitrim experienced the highest rent increase in the country for new tenancies between 2023 and 2024, according to the RTB index.
The rent rise comes to just under 23%, while existing tenants have seen their rents rise by just under 12%, representing the third highest increase in the country.
Donegal showed similar figures with 17% rise for new tenants, and there was a 12% hike in Sligo.
