Passengers using Irish Rail’s 13.05 service from Sligo to Dublin Connolly were left stranded in Carrick-on-Shannon.
In a post on social media, Irish Rail say the train had failed in the Leitrim town due to a technical issue and bus transfers were being arranged for passengers.
However, they subsequently shared on Twitter that bus transfers were unavailable.
Passengers were then advised that they would be accommodated on the 15.05 service from Sligo to Dublin Connolly.
