Arranmore RNLI were tasked to a callout yesterday afternoon to aid a medical evacuation.
It was the third callout in a week for the crew.
The alarm was raised on Arranmore Island at around 4pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The crew made their way out to the incident, and the patient was brought aboard the boat.
The patient was then brought as far as Burtonport Pier, where an ambulance was waiting to bring them to Letterkenny University Hospital.
Commenting on their busy week after the incident, coxswain Jimmy Earley said that it was the nature of emergency service work to go a few days without a call, and then get some all together at one time. He also remarked that the crew were always ready to attend an incident, day or night.
Arranmore RNLI are reminding people that if they get into difficulty, the crew are available on a 24/7 basis.
