All-Stars regroup after opening Superleague defeat



EJ Sligo All-Stars opening Insuremyvan.ie Superleague game in Dublin at the weekend ended in a 89-78 loss to Griffith College Éanna.

New American recruit John Williams top-scored for the All-Stars with 31 points but Eanna, who led at the end of each of the four quarters, were 11 points winners.

The All-Stars are now preparing for their first home fixture of the new season when they welcome Belfast Star to the Mercy College Gym this Saturday evening.

Star ran out 91–75 winners against Bright St. Vincent’s in their opening game in Belfast on Saturday, with Tamyrik Fields leading the points scoring, on 39.

Tip-off on Saturday evening is at 7:30pm.
