Minister Chambers to be grilled by Sligo Councillors over the decision to suspend N17 funding



The Minister of State at the Department of Transport Environment, Climate and Communications Jack Chambers is expected to receive a grilling from Sligo Councillors this morning over the recent decision by the Minister Eamon Ryan to suspend funding for upgrade works on the N17 Knock to Collooney project.

 

Minister Chambers is currently meeting with Sligo county councillors before holding talks with Fianna Fail Councillors.

 

Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Thomas Healy is calling for a meeting between elected representatives, and the CEO’s of Sligo and Mayo County Council to be held with Minister Ryan on the issue.

 

On his way into the meeting with Minister Chambers this morning the Sinn Fein Councillor says he hopes the Junior Minister will have more positive news on the project:
