Donegal TD praises international cooperation between the Gardaí and other police in arrest of Liam Byrne.

Donegal TD and Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue says the arrest of a leading Irish crime figure oversees is as a result of the close work of  Gardaí with police in other countries when it comes to tackling criminals:

Attempts are underway to extradite Liam Byrne, whose brother David was the victim of the Regency Hotel murder in 2016, was detained while eating dinner with family on the island of Majorca on Sunday.

He’d travelled there from Dubai, where he and other prominent members of the Kinahan cartel are now based.

Minister Charlie McConalogue says Gardaí have been working very closely with police in other countries on this issue.
