50 people in the North West left waiting on Hospital beds



Overcrowding at the North West’s two main hospitals continues to be a factor after the bank holiday weekend with a combined figure of 50 people waiting on a hospital bed at Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals.

 

The INMO trolley watch figures confirmed that there were 30 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital this morning with 20 at Letterkenny.

 

When it comes to numbers waiting in the respective emergency Departments there are 12 in Letterkenny and 23 in Sligo.

 

Nationally there are 335 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, with University Hospital Limerick the most over crowded with 61 people waiting on beds.
