Sligo rower Brian Colsh produced an impressive finish to Sunday’s men’s single sculls ‘C’ final at the European Rowing Championships in Slovenia, to claim second place and top 14 finish in Europe in what was only his second senior international championships for Ireland.
Colsh came through with a storming closing 1000 metres in Sunday morning’s final, coming from fifth place to finsh second just behind Poland.
At just 20 years of age, it’s another step in the Ballymote man’s upward curve in international rowing.
The heavyweight single sculls had a stellar field including the three medallists from the most recent Olympic Games in Tokyo.
