Gardai have confirmed that CCTV for the Caltragh area of Sligo is a step closer.
On Friday, Sligo Gardai and Sligo Co. Council made presentations to the National CCTV Advisory Board on the proposed Caltragh Crescent and Rusheen Ard Town Community CCTV Schemes.
Following on from that, it’s been confirmed that the board will be recommending final approval by the Garda Commissioner for both schemes.
Gardai say that once in place, the equipment will help in detecting and deterring crime and help keep communities safe.
