It’s emerged that children as young as twelve years of age are being catered for by the Donegal Rape Crisis Centre.
Furthermore, the centre has had to source funding from the Late Late Toy Show to provide the service to the children in question.
Independent Donegal TD Thomas Pringle says a better system needs to be put in place to ensure adequate funding is given to the centre.
Deputy Pringle says there’s clearly a growing need for the service and they shouldn’t have to depend on the good will of others to provide it:
