Leitrim produced a gutsy display against Laois on Sunday to win by 2-13 to 0-18 and keep their Division 4 promotion hopes intact.
Despite finishing the game with 13 players following a red card for Shane Quinn and a black one for Conor Reynolds in separate incidents, the home side showed commendable composure to edge to a two-point win.
The result keeps Andy Moran’s side in the promotion hunt and sets up a winner-takes-all clash with neighbours Sligo in Carrick next Sunday (1pm).
Keith Beirne impressed again for Leitrim on Sunday, notching up a personal tally of 1-8.
