Brave All-Stars bow out of Superleague play-offs

EJ Sligo All-Stars first season back in the men’s Superleague ended at the Kingfisher gym in Galway on Saturday night with a spirited 80-72 play-off defeat to University of Galway Maree.

The All-Stars were more than a match for their more vaunted opponents and led this contest at the end of Q1, Q2 and Q3.

But with Cameron King in foul trouble in the final quarter, Maree regained the initiative and finished the stronger to win by eight.

The All-Stars had impressed in the opening two quarters and led by 38 points to 29 at half-time.
