North West Hotelier warns that Dublin prices could damage reputation of the entire industry

A North West Hotelier has expressed concern in relation to claims of price gouging by Hotels in the capital ahead of the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Concerns are being raised about Ireland’s reputation abroad because of the high cost of Dublin hotel prices for St Patrick’s weekend.

Some hotels are charging up to €2,400 for a single room this week.

Ciaran Kelly from the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon says the action by Hotels in Dublin could be very damaging for the reputation of the industry.
