Fostering Fortnight got underway on Monday last and will run until St Patrick’s Day.
The initiative is an annual campaign to raise awareness and understanding of foster care in Ireland.

To discuss Fostering Event North West Today invited foster dads Kenneth has been a foster carer for over 23 years, and Kevin has been a foster carer since 2014 into studio to share their experiences of fostering.
Social worker Rachel Walshe also joined the discussion to highlight the ongoing need to recruit additional foster families.
