Sligo Councillor backs calls for energy savings to be passed to all customers



A local Sinn Féin Councillor has backed calls made by his party to ensure energy companies pass on savings made on wholesale charges to all customers.

It comes after Electric Ireland announced this week that they will be reducing bills for small and medium enterprises by 10%, with energy companies also announcing record-breaking profits for 2022.

But Cllr Thomas Healy says the cuts don’t go far enough, and speaking to Ocean FM News, he called for the savings to applied to all:
