Calls for Transport Minister to reopen Claremorris to Collooney rail line



It’s thought that the reopening of the railway line between Claremorris and Collooney would provide major opportunities for the North West.

It’s argued that the move would provide the longest freight line in Ireland, providing access to timber supply in south Donegal.

The comments were made in the Dail by TD Eamon O’Cuiv, who urged Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to give serious consideration to reopening the line alongside other planned projects.
