The sod will officially be turned on the new home for the AIM centre in Sligo later today.
The Centre will focus on developing capability in cutting-edge manufacturing technology in companies across the North-West region.
The project is driven by the ATU, Sligo County Council and Leitrim County Council and is supported by the Irish Government through Enterprise Ireland.
Minister for Trade Promotion and Digital Transformation, Dara Calleary will be in attendance at the event which is getting underway later this afternoon at the Old Fire Station, Market Yard in the town.
