Almost 590,000 in funding has been allocated for flood mitigation works along the River Bonet in Dromahair.
The announcement follows an application to the OPW by Leitrim County Council for funding under the Minor Flood Mitigation and Coastal Protection Scheme.
Last year, Leitrim Co Council were awarded funding for a feasibility study and that paved the way for the funding application.
