People in Donegal Town ‘living in constant fear of flooding’



Some households and businesses in south Donegal are said to be living in constant fear of flooding.

 

The Office of Public Works is being urged to provide an update on the applications for the Flood Relief Schemes in Donegal, with particular emphasis in the south Donegal area.

 

Donegal Town has been deemed as one of the most vulnerable areas, with last year being the only year in a number of years where it wasn’t hit by flooding.

 

Local Cllr Noel Jordan is concerned that some of the schemes are not moving at a quick enough pace and those living in vulnerable areas would breathe a sigh of relief if they were informed of any movement:
