An Independent Donegal TD has described a government funding announcement for Killybegs as ‘nonsensical’.
€9 million has been awarded to Killybegs under the Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme announced this morning by Marine Minister Charlie McConalogue.
However, Deputy Thomas Pringle believes that the majority of the money sanctioned was already flagged as far back as six years ago.
Deputy Pringle says while he hopes that there will be additional works at the harbour, this latest announcement sounds a bit familiar:
