Sligo councillor raises over speed in Strandhill



There’s pressure on Sligo County Council to come up with some traffic calming measures on a busy route in Strandhill.

 

The stretch between Cummeen and St. Anne’s Church is heavily populated and home to a number of amenities but serious concern has arisen over the speed some motorists are travelling on it.

 

Local Cllr Strandhill Cllr Sinead Maguire says the Council need to urgently discuss the matter with the TII with a view towards establishing what kind of measures can be put in place.

 

Cllr Maguire says while it is a national primary road, the rise in population there presents a very real need to the issue to be tackled:
