Summerhill College came from seven points down on Wednesday afternoon to beat Claregalway College by two points in their concluding group game of the Connacht Colleges senior ‘A’ football championship at the provincial GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan.
Summerhill won on a final scoreline of 3-7 to 1-11 and finish top of Group A.
They will face Ballinrobe Community School in the Connacht semi-final in two weeks time.
Despite Wednesday’s loss, Claregalway also qualify for the last four – they will face Group B winners St Colman’s of Claremorris.
