INMO claims overcrowding issues is impacting every hospital in the country



No hospital is unaffected by overcrowding today with patients on trolleys or chairs in emergency departments or elsewhere in every hospital in the country, that’s according to the INMO.

 

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation say there are 838 patients are on a trolley in Irish hospitals today.

 

The figures include 46 people waiting on beds at Letterkenny University Hospital and 65 at Sligo University Hospital which makes it the second most over crowed hospital in the country behind University Hospital Limerick where there are 76 people waiting on a Hospital bed.

 

The figures say that there are 42 people waiting in the emergency Department in Sligo and 20 in the emergency department in Letterkenny.
