Garda appeal over Christmas crime in North West



An investigation is continuing into a vehicle theft in Ballyshannon.

 

The incident happened Christmas Eve in the upper side of the town shortly before 4pm.

 

The owner left the keys in the ignition and returned to find his van had been taken.

 

It was later located on the opposite side of the town.

 

Garda Damien Hennigan says Gardai are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.

 

 

A number of items have been stolen from a vehicle in Sligo town.

 

The theft happened on New Year’s Eve night in the Stephen Street area at around 10pm.

 

The owner unknowingly left the window vehicle slightly open and when he returned the following day, he discovered that a number of items, namely a guitar, were stolen.
