Sligo County Council inviting applications under Community Monuments Fund



Sligo County Council is inviting applications under the Community Monuments Fund 2023 as operated by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

 

The scheme is administered by the Council.

 

The Community Monuments Fund 2023 aims to invest in archaeological heritage, helping owners and custodians of archaeological monuments to safeguard them into the future for the benefit of communities and the public.

 

The 2023 Fund will invest a total of €6m nationally in the conservation, maintenance, protection, and promotion of archaeological monuments.

 

The fund has three streams, the first being grants up to €100,000 for essential repairs and capital works for the conservation of archaeological monuments.

 

Stream 2 will offer grants of up to €30,000 for development of Conservation Management Plans

 

While Stream 3 will offer grants of up to €30,000 for enhancement of access infrastructure at archaeological monuments.
