The Leaving Cert results will be delayed again next year.
According to the Independent, the grades won’t be ready by the traditional date in mid- August- however they won’t be as late as they have been in recent years.
Since the pandemic results haven’t been ready until the first week of September.
It’s meant that incoming first year students to third level colleges have had to have a late start and the delay has even led to some Irish students missing out on a college place in another EU country or in the UK.
