A motorist has been caught drink driving in the Sligo area.
The Sligo Roads Policing Unit were conducting a checkpoint in the early hours of this morning when they observed a vehicle perform a U-Turn, attempting to evade Gardaí.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver subsequently failed a Roadside Breath Test.
The driver was arrested, charged and now faces a court appearance.
Gardai are reminding road users to never drink and drive.
