Donegal TD welcomes any measures that would ease strain on Hospitals

A Donegal TD has expressed concern with the Health service coping under the strain of the surge in winter virus infections.

Sligo University Hospital has confirmed that it’s currently battling outbreaks of both flu and Covid-19.

The HSE has set up a National Crisis Management Team to oversee the response, with the Government to meet over Christmas to consider re-introducing masks on public transport.

Donegal Independent TD Thomas Pringle says action must be taken to help ease the pressure on front line staff.
