Sligo to get extra €1.2M for works on local piers and harbours



Sligo is to get an extra 1.2 million euro for works on local piers and harbours.

 

The money has been sanctioned under the second tranche of the Brexit Adjustment: Local Authority Marine Infrastructure Scheme (BALAMI).

 

Mullaghmore Harbour is set to get the largest share of the latest funding package at €250,000

 

Easkey and Sligo Harbour are also set to benefit from the package.

 

Meanwhile Donegal is set to get €25m with Greencastle receiving the biggest share at just over 14 million euro.

 

Areas of Mullinasole, Ballyshannon and Inver are also set to benefit.
