It’s thought that Bundoran Garda Station is not up to scratch for either the Gardai which are housed there or the general public which it serves.
That’s according to local Cllr Michael McMahon, who’s calling for either refurbishment works or a new Garda station for the area.
Cllr McMahon says the growth in population of Bundoran presents a real need for the local Garda station to be given serious consideration.
He says while nearby Ballyshannon Garda Station serves the area well, he feels the station in Bundoran is simply unfit for purpose:
