Sligo councillor claims defective windows and doors are leaving some council tenants in the cold



It’s been claimed that a number of Council owned homes in Sligo are losing valuable heat due to what’s been described as defective windows and doors.

 

Residents in Caltragh Crescent are said to be using a significant amount of fuel in order to try and heat their homes as a result.

 

Sligo County Council has said that there is no immediate funding available to carry out replacement work.

 

Cllr Arthur Gibbons says with the cost of living crisis, these people are struggling to stay warm and in this day and age, he has branded the situation as ridiculous:
